Welcome to my website – and the wonderful world of flyfishing.
My name is Morten Harangen. I’m 44 years old and live in Sandefjord, Norway, a 90 minute-drive south of Oslo.
After 12 years as a radio journalist, hosting regional morning- and lunch shows, I left the broadcasting business. Now I work as a the Head of Press / communication adviser for the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection.
I’m a dedicated fly fisherman, and besides challenging trout, sea trout and salmon here in Norway, I enjoy going abroad, trying out new waters.
On this website, you’ll find information about my local salmon river, the Numedalslågen, were I will be happy to guide you.
For years I’ve been doing illustrated talks, based on my fishing adventures in Scandinavia, Iceland, France, England, Scotland, Spain, USA, the Bahamas and other countries. Please drop me an e-mail or give me a call, if this may be of interest to you, your local fly fishing club, fly fishing fair etc.
Want some inspiration? Or maybe you are looking for a specific photo? Have a look in my gallery, but remember that none of the pictures can be used or shared, in any circumstance, without my permission.
I’m a member of the Flyfishers’ Club, London.
So, fellow anglers, I hope you will enjoy the website. Do follow me, and, I’d greatly appreciate if you’d sign my guestbook. Any comments are most welcome.
Tight lines,
Morten
